21.The Arenas of the Gods.

In the orbital chamber of the Ecliptic, Xtreme and the Heart of Eryndor—mortal gods forged in war—drew up their plans for Earth, a planet scarred by the abandonment of the Creators. The holomap before them spun, projecting fractured continents and churning oceans. The tension from the pact sealed months earlier dissipated into greater ambitions. Xtreme, the Flaming Sky God, pointed to the east. His eyes shone with the arrogance of one who rules the stars. "Humans need a spectacle to worship our divinity. War games—arenas that glorify the heavens and the depths."

Eryndor's heart pulsed with abyssal runes beneath his armor. His voice was as deep as the roar of tsunamis. "Let the games exalt my kingdom. In the depths, humans will either prove their courage or succumb to fear." His projection flickered as if the planet's dark waters were calling him.

Lyra-9 and Kayle-13 received conflicting orders on the surface. These orders were transmitted by holographic emissaries who echoed the gods' wishes. Under Lyra-9's command in the East, the floating arenas began to take shape. Crystal towers inherited from the Creators' ruins were converted into platforms suspended by antigravity fields.

These arenas, glowing under purple skies, hovered miles above the ground and were connected by pulsing bridges of alien energy. Human warriors adorned in makeshift armor faced aerial challenges, such as combats against automaton drones firing plasma bursts, races between platforms amid lightning storms, and duels under the Ecliptic's watchful eye. The Ecliptic projected Xtreme's colossal image into the sky.

The mystical clans of the East were already fanatical and saw the Games as sacred rituals. They offered their victories to the God of the Flaming Sky. However, Lyra-9 feared that the fervor would strengthen Xtreme beyond the balance of the pact. The alien records she had deciphered in the Dome of the Earth whispered a warning: "The games of mortals awaken the judgment of the Creators."

In the West, Kayle-13 oversaw the construction of underwater arenas in the depths of the ocean at the behest of the Heart of Eryndor. These underwater caverns, illuminated by bioluminescent organisms, were transformed into coliseums made of black coral and corroded metal. Pressurized tunnels connected these coliseums, trembling with the pressure of the abyss.

Fascinated and terrified by the seas, the warriors of the West faced brutal challenges: battles against amphibious machines left by the Creators, treks through flooded tunnels with limited oxygen, and hand-to-hand combat in domes vibrating with the roar of currents. Altars adorned with shells and the bones of sea creatures flanked the arenas dedicated to Heart, the Lord of the Deep.

Kayle-13, increasingly seduced by Heart's promises, secretly visited one of these arenas. A projection of Heart emerged from beneath the waters, offering Kayle-13 ancient weapons: abyssal energy blades and pulse cannons capable of forging kingdoms. "Join me, Kayle-13," Heart whispered, "and the Earth will be ours."

The floating and submerged arenas became symbols of the Earth's division: the ethereal and celestial East bowing to Xtreme and the dark and abyssal West drawn to Heart. However, as the games began, the Ecliptic received a signal from space.

A mechanical voice cut through the silence. "The mortal gods are defying protocol. Judgment is near." Divided by fragile loyalties, Lyra-9 and Kayle-13 knew the games could set fire not only to Earth, but to the cosmos.
